We Teach Science Strategic Initiatives for 2017-20

With 2016 coming to a close, we look back to our evolution since the program started in 2009:

2008   WTS Formed
2009   First RTM class of 22 students (Pacifica)
2010   Transition from after-school to in-school
2011   NVIDIA invests in expansion to San Jose
2012   AT&T selects WTS for e-mentoring services
2013   Expand to Dallas, TX
2014   Launch Pure RTM – mentors from 33 states
2015   Expand to Oakland Unified
2016   New mentoring platform piloted and rolled into production with 300+ students and mentors

Earlier in 2016, WTS set about determining our initiatives for the next several years. Our board was deeply involved in the process and is helping lead several of these going into 2017:

Organization Reboot:
Focus on best schools & mentors to drive operational efficiency now

Rebrand:
Align name and brand promise

Secure State/Federal Funding:
Access deep, sustainable funding sources

Increase Operational Efficiency:
Long term viability and scalability

Increase Data/Analytics Capacity:
Enabling a metrics-driven organization

I look forward to sharing updates with you as 2017 gets underway. Thank you for your support, partnership and support as we take We Teach Science to the next level!

Please consider making a gift to support these initiatives ensuring the long term viability of the program and our students!

Happy Holidays,
